Berry-licious

On Canada Day (July 1st) we went berry picking.

It looked kind of like this:

Um, and we maybe were over-zealous about our berries...

When I went home I made two loaves of lemon strawberry bread, two strawberry pies, and a batch of strawberry jam (ten small jars).

It's now July 11th and I still have strawberries!

Thank all things holy that Mr Lannis realized what was happening and began using fresh strawberries instead of frozen strawberries for his egg white breakfast shakes, because, well, I would've had to take the kidlets back to the strawberry patch to pick more berries in order to do another batch of jam.

Now I'm left with jam fixings and no berries.

Hm.

Peach season's coming up, isn't it...?
