Yes, he built a platform.
Yes, it stayed there for almost a week.
Yes, I had to take a picture. (Have you met me?)
You're welcome, Interwebs, You owe me. |
Maybe this is just me, but I was of the impression that people don't normally sit down on chairs to install ceiling fans.
But whatev.
(And people assume he's the rational one... pffft...)
LOL! this made my day! LOL
ReplyDeleteI really don't see the big deal here. I have responses in list form:
ReplyDelete1. Of course he took a long time to get to it. I can only imagine the pain in the ass that project was. I'd have put it off as long as possible too.
2. Of course he built a platform. Can you imagine trying to get a ladder over that section of the stairs? 911 operators love getting those calls.
3. Do you have 911 in Canada? I imagine you have something similar. I'm guessing it's 1000 based entirely upon my knowledge of the differences between the metric and customary systems.
4. Of course it stayed up there a week. Hell, if I had built that beautiful platform I might have also painted it and put potted plants on it too.
5. If a guy can get a chair that close to where the ceiling fan is to be hung, a guy will sit while hanging a ceiling fan. Standing on top of a ladder working with your hands over your head is exhausting. Lifting a ceiling fan which isn't normally heavy feels like a ton of bricks when you have to hold it with one hand and, as I mentioned before, over your head.
6. If you share this photo with his friends you are going to get a lot of: "F***ing brilliant.", "You got a chair up there? Awesome!" and "I'm building me one those this weekend!"
Eric, Mr Lannis has voted that you are the smartest person I know. (This possibly sounds more prestigious than it is...)
ReplyDeleteYay! :)
